Capital Forensics Further Strengthens Firm’s Forensics Accounting and Auditing Capabilities

Alexander Mats, Forensic Team Leader, Promoted to Managing Director; Two More Seasoned Professionals Join Firm’s Roster of Expert Witnesses
ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL – February 14, 2017 – Capital Forensics, Inc. (CFI) announced today that Alexander Mats, CPA, CFE, who currently heads the firm’s team of forensic accountants, has been promoted to Managing Director. Additionally, over the past six months, CFI has added two highly respected professionals: Eric H. Siber as a Managing Director, and Jerry Wade, who will both join the firm’s roster of expert witnesses with significant experience in financial services.

As Managing Director of Forensic Accounting Services at CFI, Alex Mats supervises a team of accountants who apply their technical and investigative skills to determine actual financial circumstances and events, to support litigation, arbitration and settlements related to a broad range of criminal and civil matters.

Mr. Mats joined CFI in 2013, and has most recently served as a Senior Litigation Analyst. Previously, he had served at LaSalle Investment Management, Inc. as the finance manager of the that firm’s corporate accounting group; and had been associated with Crowe Horwath as a risk management professional. He is a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Fraud Examiner, and holds B.S. degrees in both Finance and Accountancy from the University of Illinois, and an M.S. degree in Accounting Forensics from Roosevelt University.

CFI also announced that two seasoned financial services professionals joined the firm in 2016. Managing Director Eric H. Siber brings more than 30 years of experience that includes supervision, management and compliance across a broad range of asset classes. Prior to joining CFI, Eric managed the largest single branch complex at RBC Wealth Management, and previously served at J.B. Hanauer & Co., where he was the Director of the Private Client Group. Jerry Wade, who will serve as an expert witness, has more than 40 years of financial services industry experience as a fulltime attorney and General Counsel, with involvement in all aspects of legal, compliance and regulatory practices, including the compliance and regulatory training of brokers.
