Corporate History
The genesis of Capital Forensics, Inc. (CFI) dates
back to 1986 when Jay Rosen founded The Capital Control Group, Ltd.
to provide retail brokerage and pension evaluation services. Armed
with years of front line securities, management and supervisory
experience, Mr. Rosen was often called upon to provide expert analysis
and testimony in securities and ERISA-related matters. CFI launched
in 1993 to expand Mr. Rosen’s vision for a firm that provides
respondents and claimants access to a team of experts in legal matters
that affect the securities industry.
Since 1993, CFI has expanded its team of experts and portfolio of services to include compliance and regulatory consulting, data surveillance, human resources issues, research tools and much more.
CFI has been engaged by broker dealers, investment advisory and insurance companies for successful resolution of thousands of cases.
In late 2008, Vadim Khavinson succeeded Mr. Rosen as president
of CFI. A recognized expert in quantitative analysis, Mr. Khavinson is focused
on implementing new and more efficient methodologies to achieve clients’ goals.
Central to CFI’s success is the combination of industry expertise with
innovative uses of technology to uncover valuable approaches to analyzing data.
Mr. Rosen continues as chairman and remains a respected force
in the industry, focusing on his main passion: working closely with clients
for successful case and issue resolution.
